Birthday cake
Ingredients for approximately 16 pieces:
For the dough:
4 eggs (medium weight)
180 g soft butter or margarine
150 g sugar
75 ml milk (1.5 % fat)
200 g wheat flour
100 g Delicate Kölln Oat Flakes
50 g chocolate sprinkles
2 tsp. baking powder

For the icing:
250 g icing sugar
5 tbsp. red fruit juice
1 tbsp. lemon juice
For decoration:
Colourful sweets and sprinkles
Preparation:
Preheat the oven. Butter a springform pan with a tube insert (diameter 26 cm), sprinkle with Delicate Kölln Oat Flakes and chill for about 10 minutes.
Beat the eggs with butter, sugar and milk until frothy. Mix flour, Delicate Kölln Oat Flakes, chocolate sprinkles and baking powder and stir into the egg mixture. Pour the batter into the pan, smooth it out and bake on the middle rack.
Remove the cake ring from the pan and let it cool. Then cut the cake into 3 unequal pieces with a knife. Assemble the pieces to form a snake and cut the head and tail to size.
Mix icing sugar and juice to make an icing and spread it over the snake. Press sweets into the icing as eyes, mouth and tongue. Sprinkle the snake with colorful sprinkles.

Cooking time: 40 minutes
Top/bottom heat: 175 °C
Fan assisted oven: 150 °C
Tip: For a larger party, you can also bake two rings and put them together to form a long snake.
