The raw material crises of recent years have hit us hard, too. Currently, the focus is on the cocoa market: Climate-related environmental disasters and poor harvests have led to an extreme shortage of cocoa in recent months.
The result: The price of raw cocoa has exploded, creating costs for us that we simply can no longer cover. Therefore, we had to make a decision about how to deal with this situation in the future so that we can continue to offer all our products without compromising quality. The only viable solution for us was to reduce the weight per package. This measure only covers part of our considerable additional costs.
This affects two of our chocolate mueslis: " Kölln Chocolate Muesli " and " Kölln Chocolate Muesli 30% Less Sugar ." These will be adjusted from 600g to 500g and from 2.0 kg to 1.7 kg, respectively, as they contain the highest cocoa content, with 20 percent chocolate per muesli. The other eleven varieties in our chocolate range will remain unchanged.
We're proud to have been offering high-quality, delicious products for many years. We place great importance on quality and taste. And we don't want to compromise. Experimenting with cheaper ingredients in our recipes to save costs is out of the question for us.
We hope you understand this necessary adjustment and know that this will be a change for you. But we assure you that we will continue to do everything we can to offer you the best chocolate mueslis.
