almond brittle

Almonds are real cult seeds! They have been cultivated for around 4,000 years - today mainly in California, the Mediterranean, Pakistan and Iran. But did you know that botanically speaking, almonds are not nuts at all? They are actually stone fruits. Their edible core is contained in a hard shell that splits open when ripe and is removed.

The sweet almond, also known as stone almond, is particularly mild because it contains hardly any bitter substances. Perfect for snacks, baking recipes – and of course for our Kölln Muesli Nut & Brittle. Here, caramelized almond sticks meet a mixture of crunchy ingredients - for extra crunch and a touch of caramel.
