Apple

Whether crunchy pieces, fine shavings or crispy chips – apples are the upgrade for your breakfast. By preference, we use red apple varieties with an intense taste and extra crunch.

What makes our apples so special?

After the harvest, we get straight to work: the fresh apples are washed, cored and cut into shape – with the peel on, of course! They are then gently dried so that the full fruity taste and valuable nutrients are retained. Fun fact: 11 kg of fresh apples produce 1 kg of dried power fruit.

Where do our apples grow?

Our apples come from Poland, where they thrive on nutrient-rich soil and an ideal climate. Enough sun, enough rain – perfect conditions for a crisp bite.

Worth knowing

The Romans had apples on their radar over 2,500 years ago and diligently cultivated different varieties. Today there are over 30,000 apple varieties worldwide – there are around 2,000 in Germany alone!  Nevertheless, there are usually only around 25 varieties in the supermarket.
