Sweet, slightly sour and intense in taste – raspberries are not only delicious, but also a real natural wonder. Although their name suggests it, botanically speaking they are not berries, but collected drupes. They grow on bushes up to two meters high that are covered with fine thorns.
Raspberries are in season between June and autumn. To ensure that the delicate fruits remain free of bruises, they are picked by hand. For optimal growth, they need a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild, rainy winters. Our raspberries come from Central Europe and are processed with gentle care.
Freeze-dried raspberries – Naturally intense
In Kölln Oat Muesli Fruit – No Added Sugar, Kölln Oat Muesli Berry & Apple – No Added Sugar and Kölln Oat Porridge Berry we use freeze-dried raspberries. What does that mean? Freeze drying removes the frozen water from the fruit without destroying the cell structure. This ensures that the colour, shape and full aroma are retained – without any additives!
A special highlight in our Kölln Oat Granola Yogurt Raspberry: raspberry crunchies. They consist of raspberries, raspberry juice concentrate and starch, which are freeze-dried together. The result? Intensely fruity, perfectly crunchy and a real taste experience in combination with yogurt.
