White chocolate

White chocolate is the epitome of sweet indulgence. Unlike classic chocolate, it does not contain cocoa powder – instead, fine cocoa butter combined with milk and sugar gives it its unmistakably mild and creamy taste. During the “conching” process, the chocolate mixture is stirred for hours to give it its typical shine and perfect melt-in-the-mouth texture.

We use white chocolate in our Kölln mueslis for a specific reason: in the form of white coins, it makes Kölln Oat Granola Chocolate & Cookie Cocoa particularly creamy, while in the form of crunchy trapezoids in Kölln Oat Granola Choc Choc Choc, it provides the perfect balance between mild and intense.

Worth knowing

White chocolate consists of at least 20 % cocoa butter – this gives it its fine, velvety texture. Unlike dark and milk chocolate, it lacks cocoa powder, which is why it is often considered the sweetest of the three types of chocolate.

Sustainability is a must for us: Since 2012 we have been using 100 % certified cocoa and supporting sustainable cultivation. Our cocoa comes from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms that are committed to better agricultural practices, forest protection and fair working conditions.
